Mt Albert Dumpling House

The dumplings and soup were both delicious, the atmosphere was warm and busy but not too loud and the service and staff were super friendly and helpful. Above all, you'd struggle to find better value for money anywhere in the country. Do not miss this place. Solid 10/10

We've just moved to the neighbourhood and decided to check out Dumpling House, my partner and I tired and hungry from cleaning and moving. The welcome was warm and friendly, the beer cold, and the food excellent. We had shredded pork in fish sauce over noodles, and pork mince and pickled cabbage dumplings in a spicy sauce. Good lord, it was delicious and plentiful. We slurped down the noodles and finished all the dumplings. We've had some pretty mediocre Chinese food from another place, and we've had some very good South East Asian "fusion" food from two or three other places, but it's nice to find a spot that serves excellent food straight up. We will definitely be back to explore the menu.

I like it here — great food, soft and unobtrusive background music, polite and friendly staff, and free loose-leaf green tea, I mean customer experience here really means something. By the way, I believe this place has the best beef and coriander dumplings in Auckland.

Food wise spot on. Top quality and tasting dumplings and Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). Great plates and cutlery. Atmosphere and service was fairly average.

Such amazing food. Had the best cumin lamb I’ve ever tried and it had lovely fresh veges with it. The chicken and corn soup hot and tasty. The kids loved the Xiao Long Bao and dumplings, exclaiming “These guys are real chefs!” and “These chefs make great food”. Amazing customer service, so friendly. Highly recommend for a fun and tasty family dinner. We will be back soon!
